What is a 1,500 Volt Semiconductor Fuse? Semiconductor Fuses are also known as High Speed Fuses or Rectifier Fuses. The 1,500 volt semiconductor fuse is a current limiting, very fast-acting fuse rated at 1,500 volts AC and up to 1,000 volts DC. Current ratings range from 1 to 1,000 amps. The maximum interrupting ratings are 100,000 amps AC and DC. The Bussmann fuse is rated at 2,000 volts AC in the 2 to 6 current range. These High Speed fuses are UL Recognized.
Mersen, Littelfuse and Bussmann offer a 1,500 volt semiconductor fuse. Mersen uses the Amp-Trap® Form 101 brand name. Littelfuse uses the POWR-GARD® trade name.
